X5 Management: Likability in Business

A detailed primer on achieving business success.

This week I posted a  blog about X5 Management’s key principles of business success, LRT, which is Like, Respect and Trust. I have posted about it here and I have talked about it on Mike Mack’s blog, but I wanted to dive a little deeper into how each of these elements work together, and the level of motivation and focus a person might need to be successful in one or all of these principles. I like how the X5 team sees Like, Respect and Trust as a continuum, and not as separate aspects of relationships building, so I offered to do this study and see just where it takes things.

Likability in business actually covers many areas, and the strangest thing about it is that it originates within us. It isn’t something that we have to go looking for. We can, in fact, practice to become more likeable. Likability in business is not only possible, it’s attainable, if we know where to start and how to build upward.

We’d love it if you’d take a look and share your thoughts on X5 Management’s site.

In 2 weeks, I’ll be doing another post on their blog, and this will focus on Respect: What it is, how it’s earned, and what we need to do to preserve it for ourselves and others we work with.

It’s been a lot of fun working on these blogs, and we do hope you enjoy them.

All the best!

Idris
